For IELTS Academic and General Training, from band 5.5 to 8+. Every IELTS tutor at 8020 Education has an official overall band of 8.0 or higher. Writing and Speaking are marked against the four criteria examiners use, so you know exactly which band each answer is at and why.
What the course covers
Writing
Task 1 reports and letters, Task 2 essays. Each essay comes back with a band per criterion (Task Response, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range and Accuracy) and the sentences that held the score down.
Speaking
Live mock interviews for Parts 1, 2 and 3 on current topics, with feedback on fluency, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation.
Reading
Computer-format tests with the answer location shown in the passage, and drills on the question types you miss most: True/False/Not Given, matching headings, summary completion.
Listening
Full tests under exam timing, with transcripts and a breakdown by section, so you can see where concentration drops.

IELTS questions
How long does it take to go up one band?
It depends on the starting point and how many hours a week the student can study. After the diagnostic we give an honest estimate; we do not promise a band we cannot plan for.
Do you teach the computer-delivered IELTS?
Yes. Our Reading and Listening practice uses the computer format, and we cover the paper format on request.
Can I take only Writing or only Speaking?
Yes. Many students book private lessons just for the skill that is holding back their overall band.
